As we draw to the end of the year, there’s plenty for us to celebrate in terms of our team effort, our partnership work and our upcoming schemes.
We recognise the successful delivery of any scheme is always down to solid partnerships and a great team effort.
An intergenerational approach
Early phases of our Depot development, including market rent apartments, extra-care homes and family housing are all finished. Further work on additional apartments is well under way, some of which are being designed for to meet the changing needs of older people. Recently, we were thrilled to receive a Community Investment award from the Chartered Institute of Housing – great recognition of the whole team effort.
Supported living
Work on the £17m Gorton Mill House development is complete. The scheme, on behalf of Southway Housing, saw a former brownfield site brought back in productive use, providing over one hundred age-friendly, new homes with facilities such as a café and hair salon. Gwen, who recently moved in said: “The place is like a five-star hotel, it’s beautiful.”
Mixed use
We finished converting a former Mosscare St Vincent’s building on Great Western Street into 17 affordable apartments and a new training and employment space which will support people who have been most affected by the pandemic get into employment.
Burnage Extra-Care
Completing early in 2022, this development for Southway Housing will deliver a further 56 one and two bedroom apartments for people aged 55 featuring a range of age-friendly measures.
Modern living
Crossings, a Peaks and Plains development in the heart of Macclesfield, sits on a former Georgian Mill warehouse and will consist of 67 modern apartments with large open plan areas and a high quality spec. Completion is set for early next year.
New for 2022…
We have a range of schemes coming forward, utilising our construction specialisms and our partnership strengths.
The first to start on site will be the delivery of 69 new low-carbon social homes in Newton Heath, Manchester in conjunction with Manchester City Council.
Team Effort
As ever, we recognise the successful delivery of any scheme is always down to solid partnerships and a great team effort.
We therefore look forward to working together with new and existing partners in delivering more quality homes in 2022.
