Housing
As part of this new housing development, we are demolishing a former local eye-sore to make way for new homes and helping to grow the number of people living in the town centre.
The Georgian Mill site, which had lain derelict since a fire destroyed the buildings in 2011, is now being transformed with the new ‘Crossings’ development.
“Stylish, quality affordable homes”
On behalf of Peaks & Plains Housing Trust, Rowlinson is building a range of high quality, stylish one, two and three-bedroom apartments, featuring internal and external communal space.
With part-funding from Homes England, the new homes will be available with a range of tenures with Rent to Buy, Shared Ownership and private rent options.
Situated on the southern edge of Macclesfield town centre, the development is close to the train station providing direct access to transport links, and is surrounded by an array of shops, bars and restaurants.
“We’re a local business so we know just how eager people are to see progress”
David Chilton, managing director at Rowlinson, said:
“We’re a local business so we know just how eager people are to see progress on the development of this site. The demolition work is a big step forward, paving the way for the construction of the new homes.”
