Client:
Rowlinson

Sector:
Care & Support

We’re delighted to have completed the construction of 72 new homes, designed specifically for people aged 55 and over, as part of our Depot development in south Manchester.

In total, 53 one-bedroom and 19 two-bedroom homes have been built at Elmswood Park, all of which will be available for social rent via Mosscare St Vincent’s.

“Supporting stylish independent living.”

The scheme is providing high quality, well-designed new housing specifically for older people, allowing them to remain independent in their own homes for longer.

David Chilton, Rowlinson managing director, said “So much effort has gone into creating Elmswood Park not only in terms of making it an accessible place to live but one with design and flair.

“It sits within our wider Depot development, providing housing options for older people within the very heart of the community.”

Bringing a new, vibrant housing offer to the area

With a mix of apartments, family homes and later life accommodation, together with a number of tenure options, it is bringing a new, vibrant housing offer to the area.

Priority schemes

This scheme, together with the Abbey Hey development at Gorton and Burnage Extra Care, sees Rowlinson working to deliver 234 supported living homes on three of the four priority extra care schemes in Manchester.

Grant funding has been received from Homes England towards the scheme, which was designed by Buttress Architects.
