Brew Monday

Staying connected, keeping safe

Keeping motivated at the start of the year can be a bit of a slog as we battle through miserable weather and dark days.

In fact, the third Monday in January has been singled out as the worst day for many people, becoming known as Blue Monday.

The Samaritans, who offer 24/7 support all year through for anyone in need, have flipped this around and created the alternative Brew Monday instead.

“This year, more than ever, it’s important that we all stay connected albeit at a safe distance.”

Rowlinson is getting involved and supporting the day to help raise both sprits and funds for the charity.

Steve Weir, construction director, Rowlinson, said: “We have a fantastic team and want to make sure they stay well. This year, more than ever, it’s important that we all stay connected albeit at a safe distance. Simply taking a few minutes to check in with someone really could make a big difference.”

This year’s Brew Monday  takes place on January 18 2021.

For anyone in need of additional support, the Samaritans can be called free, day or night, 365 days a year on 116 123.
