Hattersley Central has been recognised at the North West Homebuilder Awards, held at Albert Hall, Manchester, winning the Affordable Housing category and receiving a Highly Commended in the Community Impact category.
The achievement reflects the positive impact the development is making through the delivery of high-quality affordable homes and community-focused regeneration.
Constructed by Rowlinson for client Onward Homes and designed by Triangle Architects, Hattersley Central delivers 161 homes, providing a mix of affordable rent, shared ownership and housing-with-care accommodation that helps meet local housing needs while supporting people at different stages of life.
A key component of the development is Birch Lea Park, a housing-with-care scheme providing 91 modern apartments for people aged 55 and over. Designed to support independent living, it includes facilities such as a café and hair and beauty salon, helping to create a strong sense of community for residents and the wider neighbourhood.
