Depot progress continues at pace

New apartments start after extra care and housing completes

The construction of 45 new homes is underway at Rowlinson’s Depot development in south Manchester, following the sale of the latest phase.

Working once again with build-to-rent developer, Rise Homes, the apartments will be available for market rent upon completion in spring 2021.

The homes are being delivered by Rowlinson’s construction arm, on the plot fronting Princess Parkway.

The work follows on from completions of the 72 apartment extra care scheme – Elmswood Park – and 30 shared ownership family homes, both of which are being managed by housing provider, Mosscare St Vincent’s.

We’re incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made to date, along with our delivery partners.

David Chilton, managing director, Rowlinson said: “It’s hard to remember the derelict brownfield site that we started our development with. We’re incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made to date, along with our delivery partners.

“Our vision to bring together a range of housing types and tenures, suitable for a wide mix of people is becoming a reality. Elmswood Park offers stylish later living with additional services seamlessly woven in, whilst the open plan shared ownership homes cater perfectly for modern family life.

“We’re pleased to be working again with Rise Homes on the latest phase, after a successful earlier completion of 92 build to rent apartments with them elsewhere on the development.”

The five acre development is taking place on the former stagecoach site.
