Women learning English through their love of cooking

Part of Dahlia House in Burnage built by Rowlinson, as construction partner for Southway Housing, has been gaining interest recently, featuring on local TV reports.

A win-win situation

Women volunteering within the café are improving their English whilst serving up food for the people who live in the development and the wider community.

Run as a social enterprise, the café has already seen demand result in an increase it’s opening days from two, to five days a week.

Community asset

Located in same building as the extra care apartments, Dahlia House Cafe is the proving to be a perfect meeting place for people to come together.
